Session For Universal Recording Artist Juan Gabriel
Yesterday I had a great time in the studio with producer Gustavo Farias, guitarist Ricky Z, and bassist Matt Bissonette tracking drums for Universal recording artist Juan Gabriel. There's a major difference when recording music with live players all at the same time......on 2" tape as well!!!!
Personally, I love it! It's a shame that technology has steered us away from this concept.
Here are a few pics taken by studio drum tech Mike Fasano. Hit this guy up if you ever need drum teching. Absolute best studio drum tech in the world!!!! (mikefasano@mac.com)
I usually only use (1) 12" rack tom and (1) 16" floor tom in the studio, but decided to include the extra 10" rack tom for this session. Glad I did!
(This concludes the geeky drum talk.)
